Block It Out (“the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how your information is handled when you use this calendar synchronization app.
Privacy Commitment to You
Block It Out operates entirely on your device. It does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to external servers.
Calendar Data
- What is accessed: Calendar events from calendars you explicitly select
- How it is used: To create shadow events in your destination calendars based on your sync rules
- Where it is stored: Only on your device using the built-in iOS calendar application
- What it does not do: It never sends your calendar data to any external servers
Sync Configuration
- What is stored: Your sync rules, including source/destination calendar selections and shadow event titles
- Where it is stored: Locally on your device using the iOS SDK feature called Core Data
- How it is backed up: Through your standard iOS device backups (iCloud or iTunes)
Third-Party Services
Apple Services
- EventKit: Apple’s EventKit framework is used to access your calendars with your explicit permission
- StoreKit: For optional premium subscriptions, transactions are processed entirely through Apple’s App Store
- iCloud: Your sync rules may be included in your iCloud backup if you have iCloud backup enabled
What Is Not Used
- No third party analytics services beyond Apple
- No third party crash reporting services beyond Apple
- No advertising networks
- No social media integrations
- No external servers or cloud services
Data Security
Your data security is ensured by:
- All data remains on your device
- Using Apple’s secure frameworks for calendar access
- Following iOS security best practices
- No network transmission of calendar data
Your Rights and Controls
You have complete control over your data:
- Calendar Access: You can revoke calendar access at any time in iOS Settings
- Delete Data: Deleting the app removes all stored sync rules and configuration
- Sync Rules: You can create, modify, or delete sync rules at any time
- Shadow Events: You can delete shadow events manually, through the clean up function, or when removing sync rules
Children’s Privacy
Block It Out does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app requires calendar access typically used by adults for professional scheduling.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.

California Privacy Rights
California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Since Block It Out does not collect or sell personal information, these rights are inherently protected.
